Gabriel was born into a large Italian American family in Chicago, IL and was raised into a passionate Chicago sports fan. Gabe remembers always watching the Cubs on WGN and it was live sports production that first sparked his interest in the moving image.

 

Gabriel attended Columbia College Chicago where he first studied live broadcast television production with the intention of becoming a sports camera operator. After attending a workshop focused on cinematography, Gabriel fell in love with lighting. He shifted his focus to the film department where he immersed himself in the Cinematography program.

 

Shortly after film school, Gabriel moved to New York City to chase his dream of being a cinematographer. For the past decade, Gabriel has worked on projects for networks such as ABC, HGTV, Bravo, Netflix and more. He splits his time between Los Angeles and New Orleans and works all over the world.
